Items of interest on a walk between Conder Green and Freemans this morning, 8.45 to 12.45 and Conder Pools 8.30

Conder Pools
37 Black Tailed Godwits
1Wigeon
4 Tufted Ducks

Conder Green to Freemans Pool
Lesser Whitethroat,      1 seen with nesting material along the area of the old railway cutting before reaching Aldcliffe and 1 heard nr the Flood.
Common Whitethroat,       1 nr the Darter Pool
Blackcap,        min of 10 birds seen and heard along the length of the walk.
Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff,        several birds seen and heard along the length of the walk.
Goldfinch         were numerous along the length of the walk.
White Wagtail,      7 birds of the Flood with similar number or perhaps the same birds nr the Wildfowler Pools.
Little Ringed Plover,    2 on the Flood.
Reed Bunting,     2 on the Flood and 1 at Freemans.
Raven,    1
Tree Sparrow,    1
Eider, 1 pair quite well upstream
Little Egret, 1 at Freemans
Hirundines,       very few with only 6 Swallows and 2 Sand Martins seen all morning.
Gadwalls and Teal present on Wildfowler Pools.
Little Grebe. 2 on Freemans Pool
Sparrow Hawk, 1 nr the Flood
